In this webinar, Sahin Idin will tackle gender equity in science education at different levels, with a focus on teaching materials and tools (for example science textbooks quality, language used, stereotypes etc.), the role of the school and the competences and information needed by teachers.
About the presenter:
Sahin Idin is a science and technology teacher, with 7 years’ experience in Primary School. He is also an expert in gender equity, which is the main subject of his ongoing PhD research at Hacettepe University in Ankara (‘Social Justice and Equity in Science Education’). Among his other research interests: science textbooks, STEM, Inquiry and Project Based Learning, 5E model, Modelling and Creative drama.
