Webinar outline:

During this webinar, Marina Jiménez Iglesias will offer a broad look at different topics on the subject of “Gender and STEM”, including an overview of the most relevant women in science and an exploration on the current role of women in STEM disciplines.

The main aim of the webinar is to promote gender equity and create gender awareness among the attendees, with a special focus on STEM educators.

About the presenter:

Marina Jiménez Iglesias works as a Project Administrator for Scientix, at European Schoolnet. Her work has been mainly focused on the coordination of different groups of project stakeholders and she is currently involved in the production of a number of reports and articles in the field of STEM education.

She holds a B.Sc. in Political Sciences and Administration from Universitat Pompeu Fabra and a M.A. in International Politics from the University of Bath. She also has experience in development of European projects in different non-profit organisations.

Her main areas of interest lie in the fields of education, human rights and gender studies. Throughout the last year, she has implemented different gender-centered training activities within the Scientix framework.
