University of Mostar – Bosnia and Herzegovina

University of Mostar (SUM) is a higher education institution, which organizes and offers university studies and scientific and professional work. It is one of the eight public Universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and it currently consists of 10 faculties and the Academy of Fine Arts with over 12.000 students enrolled in total. University of Mostar is internationally oriented and its intention is to become fully integrated into the European Higher Education Area. SUM fulfils the criteria for accreditation prescribed by the Agency for Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance of Bosnia and Herzegovina (2015) and has been successfully re-accredited by the Agency of Higher Education in the Republic of Croatia (2017).

The university’s strong connection between scientific and educational processes supports quality and efficient education based on learning outcomes and lifelong learning conceptions. SUM’s educational process is recognized for its excellence at the local, national and international level. Scientific research at SUM is based on scientific excellence, which is defined by international indicators and a strong integration within the educational process at all levels.
